The Conference

ITC 2023 – 6th Infrastructure & Transport Conference is the most important annual event for the Construction and Transport sector and, nowdays, an ‘institution’; this year its significance rises, as we actively cooperate with the American Embassy, and our Conference is under the auspices of four ministries, those of Infrastructure & Transport, Environment & Energy, Finance and Shipping, but also enjoys the support of 25 agencies.

ITC 2023 will be held from 17-20 September, 2023, and is expected to break all previous records, as the event has -up till now- already secured 40 sponsorships, 5 of which are Grand, 8 Gold, 17 Silver and 8 Bronze, while our Exhibition space, with a capacity of 17 booths, is already sold out.

The Agenda of ITC 2023 – 6th Infrastructure & Transport Conference

This year our Conference is extended to a four-day span, during which 16 sessions will be held, with over 70 renowned speakers from the domestic scene and abroad.

On 17.9.2023, the Opening Gala marks the official commencement of the Conference; it will be held at Faros, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC). This closed event is addressed to the business community supporting the Conference; in its opening speeches, senior government officials will participate.

During 18-19.9.2023, the on-site section of the Conference will be held at the Athens Conservatoire. On 18.9.2023, the day is dedicated to Infrastructure; we will have sessions and fire chats on major projects, PPP & Concessions, energy infrastructure, building infrastructure, city projects, the infrastructure industry, U.S. investments in Greece and project financing.

Prizes will be awarded (i) for the PROJECT OF THE YEAR 2022, regarding the extension of Athens Metro Line 3 up to Piraeus. The award will be received by: Attiko Metro, as the Implementing Agency, the AVAX-GHELLA-ALSTOM scheme as manufacturers and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport as the responsible ministry,  and (ii) for the PROJECT OF THE DECADE 2012-2022, concerning the “Ptolemaida 5” Lignite Unit. Recipients of the award will be: PPC, as the Implementing Agency, the TERNA-HITACHI scheme as manufacturers and the Ministry of Energy and Environment as the responsible ministry.

On 19.9.2023, we will have 5 sessions dedicated to Transport (air, rail, sea and road transport, logistics, airmail and couriers, urban mobility / public transport). The COMPANY OF THE YEAR 2022 IN TRANSPORTS will also be awarded to Piraeus Port Authority.

ITC 2023 will close on 20.9.2023, with 4 web-only panels on institutional matters regarding the Construction and Transport industries.

The ITC 2023 – 6th Infrastructure & Transport Conference actively supports gender equality. As last year, the organizing committee, our panel moderators and journalists for 2023, are 50% women and 50% men. The same applies to the selection of our partners. At the same time, we urge all our speakers not to highlight only the male role-model in their speeches.

Also, as organizers, we have seen to the unhindered access of people with health conditions or impairments, both in the conference area and in all areas of the venue. Regarding catering, we respect different dietary options, therefore menus are designed in such a way as to cover vegetarian or vegan needs, but also the needs of those who do not consume different kinds of meat.
