Panagiotis Balomenos

Panagiotis Balomenos holds a degree in Surveying Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, an MSc in Real Estate from the University of Reading, UK, and a PhD in Real Estate Economics and Investment from Panteion University, completed with an EU scholarship, where he has also taught postgraduate courses in real estate.  He has extensive professional experience in the real estate sector and currently serves as CEO of Hellenic Rail Estate S.A., where he is leading the company’s transformation into Greece’s national railway real estate organization, with a focus on unlocking the development potential of strategic railway assets and creating long-term public value.  Previously, he held senior leadership roles at ETAD S.A., including Executive Director, Interim CEO, and Deputy CEO. Earlier in his career, he co-founded a technical company, where he served as Managing Partner for twelve years.  His broader professional experience includes serving as Senior Advisor to KED S.A., Technical Advisor to Panhellenic Bank, Scientific Associate at the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research and the Regional Development Institute, as well as Special Advisor to the Minister of Finance on privatizations and public real estate.  He has held board positions at the Church Real Estate Development Company, the Deposits and Loans Fund, and North Star (Casino Mont Parnes), where he was also Chairman of the Board.
