Ganesh Rajagopalan

Dr. Ganesh Rajagopalan has nearly 30 years of experience in research, planning, preliminary design and pilot and full-scale evaluation of wastewater, recycled water, anaerobic digestion/co-digestion, resource recovery and energy efficiency projects. He has performed several studies related to using wastewater effluent for cooing and water resource planning. He has made numerous peer reviewed publications and presentations.

Professional history

Dr. Ganesh Rajagopalan has extensive experience in planning studies, pilot and full scale demonstration, technology development, preliminary design, project management and research, in wastewater, recycled water, biosolids, resource recovery, and energy efficiency. He has extensive experience in evaluating the use of recycled water for once through cooling as well as cooling tower-chiller systems for industrial and commercial facilities. He has performed projects to treat brackish water and oil field produced waters for various reuse applications. In addition, he has significant experience with co-digestion of organic wastes (Food waste; Fats, oils and grease (FOG); poultry, creamery, winery wastes) in municipal digesters to enhance biogas production to reduced external energy demand. He has also significant experience with innovative projects to energy efficient nutrient removal in wastewater treatment plants.
