
Georgios Syrianos
He was born on 03.07.1951 in Athens.
He is Civil Engineer, holding a degree from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
From 1977 to 1980, he worked in the private sector as freelancer, carrying out studies and constructing various types of projects.
From 1981 to 1989, he served as an executive at the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (former YPEXODE), by supervising the construction of Motorways, building and port Projects.
He joined the private sector in 1990 and was appointed as General Manager and Technical Director in construction companies, focusing on the design and construction of various complex Projects (Motorways, the Egnatia Odos Project, railway Projects, tunnels, dams, wastewater treatment plants, port Projects, building Projects, Athens 2004 Olympic Games Projects, etc.). In this role, he contributed significantly to the execution of several major infrastructure Projects in Greece for approximately 15 years.
Since 2006, he has been actively involved in the leadership of major Concession Projects, and he addressed successfully critical construction issues, while also playing a key role in the reset of the Concession Projects affected by the Greek recession.
He is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AKTOR Concessions S.A. and is directly involved in the execution of large and complex Concessions and PPP Projects.
He is the President of the Association of Technical Companies of the Highest Classes (STEAT), member of the Governing Committee of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), and he has served as member of the Board of Directors of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI).
